I went to Ferris State College in the fall of 1968 and got involved with the theater department after watching the fall production and had a wonderful time of my life.  Because I'm stupid I allowed my student status to lapse and was not enrolled in the fall of 1969 and received my Draft Notice in the early part of 1970 and by June 1970 I found myself at Basic Training in the United States Army.

After the service I returned to Ferris and the theater program in the fall of 1973 and graduated the following summer with my Associate of Arts Degree.
